THE COINLESS KETTLE

Logo for The Coinless Kettle featuring a red bucket with a handle and a shield emblem with 'SA', and text in red that reads 'The Coinless Kettle'.

Salvation Army’s holiday fundraiser has become an icon.

Their group of volunteer, the bells and the red kettle have been part of the culture for a very long time. But, times change and evolve, people now carry less cash with them making it harder each year for Salvation Army to raise the funds they need to keep helping those in need.

That’s why we created The Coinless Kettle, a series of posters that hold a 3D printed Salvation Army kettle with an NFC chip inside to receive cashless donations, now good hearted people can donate using their phones.

This series of posters used archive images of real volunteers throughout different decades, celebrating the volunteers and history of The Salvation Army, infusing a touch of technology to give relevancy to a holiday classic.
